BOWERS SPECIAL BORE - SERIES

Although Bowers produce the most comprehensive series of bore gauges and internal measuring equipment available, not all applications can be covered by our standard instrument range. In line with our customer care ethos, Bowers have earned a reputation for manufacturing special heads for measuring non-standard applications.

Screw Threads To measure effective (functional) diameter between M4-300mm./No. 8 UN-12“. Also available for pitch diameter measurement and major diameter measurement.
Grooves For sizes from 2mm-300mm diameter. For ovality measurement. Various anvil forms available. Diameters from 6-100mm
Internal Splines 2 and 3 point heads available. Anvils manufactured from tool steel. Diameters from 12-300mm (1/2”-12”).
Spherical Radius 2 point available from 3-150mm. 3 point from 6-300mm.
Ball Screw Threads From Ø M10
Deep Hole Up to 2 meters deep with standard extensions. Pneumatic system available from 50mm diameter for depths of up to 15 meters.
Internal Threads To measure effective (functional) diameter between M4-300mm. (No.8 UN-12”). Also available for pitch diameter measurement and major diameter measurement. Measuring heads available as 2 or 3 point system
External Threads For pitch diameter measurement from 2-60mm metric and UN forms. Other forms by special request.
Slot Width (Large) Slot widths from 3 - 100mm.
Blind Bore Standard between 2 - 6mm and 12.5 - 300mm. Between 6 - 12.5mm on request.
Taper Set distance ‘d’ between two heads. Heads fitted with carbide ball measuring contacts. 3 point also available.
Irregular Spacing Available between 16 – 300mm diameters. Anvil spacing according to work piece.
