NIDEC - CEG 2000 offer the ultimate non-destructive precision in measuring dimensional workpiece when combined with an electronic probe sensor. NIDEC - CEG 2000 display precision readings of 2 or 4 channel that utilizes a sensor probe input of contact electronic called a linear variable differential transformer (LVDT). NIDEC - CEG 2000 with LVDT probes are versatile, absolute linear position/displacement transducers; inherently frictionless, as they have a virtually infinite life cycle when properly used. As AC operated LVDT probes do not contain any electronics, they can be designed to operate at cryogenic temperatures or up to 1200 °F (650 °C), in harsh environments, under high vibration and shock levels. LVDTs have been widely used in applications such as power turbines, hydraulics, automation, aircraft, satellites, nuclear reactors, and many others. These probe have low hysteresis and excellent repeatability. Because the sliding core does not touch the inside of the tube or rotating contacts allows the LVDT to be completely sealed against the environment. This frictionless method made the NIDEC - CEG 2000 with LVDT probes is a highly reliable device for repetitive test at higher pace as in automation production line.

NIDEC - CEG 2000 display with Pass/Fail feedback is instant with the integral easy view three-color LED bar-graph display. Two or four input channel models are available allowing multiple dimensions with various sensors to be connected to the same display. All NIDEC - CEG 2000’s come standard with RS-232 serial communications for data analysis on PC’s. An Excel spreadsheet program is available for download for free from the SHIMPO website that allows communication with up to 5 units simultaneously. The NIDEC electric gauge with LVDT technology offers reliability to measure small tolerances down to 0.05 micron.
