R ISO-based JIS

PT Conventional JIS

Taper pipe threads (PT) specified in JIS are used to connect fluid equipments, plumbing parts, pipes where density resistance is necessary for their mechanical connection. The gauges for taper pipe threads (PT) are used for inspecting the dimension of such the threads.

Note:

Female parallel pipe threads are used for male taper pipe threads. Their limit deviation tolerances are different from the female parallel pipe threads (G) or (PF).
